We had sunday lunch,Roast beef three juicy,tender amazing slices each,veg mixture and potatoes  came seperate.Well it's the best pub sunday lunch ever.Goid portion size also.Members of staff,all helpful,polite and attentive. We celebrated mum’s 80th birthday at The John Barleycorn, with the whole event seamlessly planned and executed thanks to the dedication, care and hospitality of the whole team. The food was exquisite, big portions and very good value, catered for coeliac. The staff were so friendly, service was brilliant and the whole party served on time. Such a lovely venue and great atmosphere. All staff smiled and no request too much. We will be back! Me and my family had the most fantastic meal here at the John Barleycorn. Service was fabulous with such happy friendly staff to greet and serve you everything was just perfect, we all enjoyed different meals and my stepdad was so amazed with the pork with sprinkled crackling he talked about it all the way home! We were travelling home from a short break and booked into this pub for a Sunday roast on the way home. It is a really nice location, with an ample car park and outdoor garden area. Probably the best food I have ever eaten in a pub . And by the way  what a pub . Staff 5 stars 🌟 Service 5 stars 🌟 Food 5 stars 🌟.  We will return. Meals for 5 people under £100. Excellent value  and I must give the Chef 10 stars 🌟. Tiny gripe they add on a Service charge. Went along to the John Barleycorn yesterday on a late booking and luckily managed to get a table for 6, what a lovely pub! The food was great, one of the best Sunday roasts we've had in a long time! Beautiful garden where the kids enjoyed playing. We'll definitely be returning soon with friends.
